The mission of the Food Pantry exists as a mission of love and faith serving people in the communities of Northport, East Northport and Centerport by providing food and support for families in need.
In addition to providing food, the Food Pantry carries on with the traditions of Thanksgiving turkeys, Christmas presents (adopt a family), Easter baskets, Birthday bags and school supplies.
Donation of non-perishable food items are always needed. (Canned meats, white sugar, pasta, spaghetti sauce, cereals, pancake mix, mayo, ketchup, coffee, jelly, fruit juice, baby food, tuna and beans.) Non-food items are also needed. (Health/personal care items, diapers, detergent, soap, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste and school supplies.) Businesses and organizations are welcomed to sponsor a drive and monetary donations are always appreciated.
Donations can be dropped off at local churches or Northport Village Hall. Volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities throughout the year.
